Workshop on writing scientific articles in English for international journals in the domain of environmental and agricultural science

We hereby invite Prospective Applicants to apply for a training course on scientific article writing
Who can apply
Applicants eligible for this call should:
- Be a citizen of Laos, Thailand, Vietnam or Cambodia
- Be a national scientist attached to a university or research institution
- Be under 40 years of age (or up to 45 providing the last higher degree was obtained in the previous 5 years)
- Have at least a Master's or equivalent degree
- Be able to write and discuss in English
- Having collaborative links with the LMI LUSES, the PPR SELTAR or with the IRD/AIRD will be considered as an advantage but it is not a requirement
- We particularly welcome applications from female scientists
How to apply
- Applicants should send Application form along with a Research Note of one to two pages, outlining an aspect of their research that they wish to publish.
- The proposed article should address topics related to environmental and agricultural issues in South East Asia.
- Both files should be submitted in pdf format to kku.writing.workshop@gmail.com by 30th June 2013.
- The applications will be assessed by an evaluation committee and up to 20 successful applicants will be invited to the training course.
- The course aims to mentor the applicants regarding scientific writing and to develop skills in writing quality articles. Note that it is NOT an English language course.
Deadline for application is 30th June. Late applications will not be considered.
The selected participants will be notified by 31st July
